Metrocology was retained by Williams Land to lead the Master Plan and
Housing Program for Weiti Village. Metrocology partnered with Woods &
Partners to undertake the urban design and housing plans. Weiti Village
aims to move away from the conventional low density car dependent model
of development that dominates the housing and commercial landscape of
suburban Auckland.

The Weiti Master Plan provides for a compact and walkable series of neighborhoods, proximate to large areas of preserved open space amenities and recreational facilities, that are pedestrian and cycling friendly, with a range of housing price points. The Master Plan is Auckland’s largest residential conservation project. When fully developed Weiti Village will provide 1,050 dwellings, 360,000 ft2 of commercial distributed across two village centers.
